Ling looked around. There were a lot of Airbenders practicing their bending. She didn't know why, but something felt wrong. The day was foggy, and you couldn't see anyone who was farther than a few yards. Ling just wanted to go back to her room and go to sleep. She'd been awake for 3 days straight. She'd been practicing some moves, and cracking down to the books. She was in the process of memorizing the great battle of the Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Oazi. She was specific. Down to every last move and form Aang performed, she knew it all. The only reason she hadn't gone to sleep was because they had a HUGE test in their little school that day. She was stressed out. Her Airbending was just fine. Then she remembered they would be tested on an original Firebending form called the Dancing Dragon-only with air instead of fire.
She practiced it over and over. Once she finally had it down, she recited Aang's moves in defeating the Fire Lord. When she had that down, she began the steps of the Avatar's army on the day of Black Sun. She took out a piece of paper and scrawled down a drawing of the whale submarines. She labeled all the mechanisms, and wrote down how much air could be stored for a certain amount of time in one sub. Then she calculated how long each sub could go until it ran out of air. She practiced her calligraphy, practiced the arithmetic and mathematical sequences and patterns they'd learned, gave herself 3 spelling tests, and did everything she possibly could to make her Airbending better. She corrected her footing and every time her footing was off, she had to do 30 air punches for each arm. She finally sat down to take a break. Her eyes were droopy. All she wanted to do was go to sleep, but then she might not hear the bell and would be late or miss the whole test!!! That couldn't happen. She would have plenty of time to sleep AFTER the test. But boy would it be handy to pause time and take a little nap. But knowing her, she would sleep for like, 15 hours. That wasn't an option. She just hoped she didn't fall asleep DURING the test.
